Started over five decades ago, the School Visit Program is the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s oldest and largest outreach program. It has reached tens of thousands of students in its history and the north star has remained true: we believe experiencing live performance is vital and transformative. Our teams of two teaching artists present shows as well as teach workshops, ensuring students connect intellectually and physically with our work. Presenting high-impact performance and embodied and meaningful workshops opens students’ imaginations and empowers them to use and understand text through a variety of tools.
